December Birthday Cards

Today is my sister-in-law Marilyn's birthday. This is the birthday card that I made for her. The paper is from Basic Grey's Ambrosia Paper Pad but the colors do not really show up that good in this picture. I'm not the best photographer around. I got the inspiration for this card from the new January 2009 issue of CardMaker that I just got in the mail last week.

Tomorrow is my girlfriend at work, Karen's birthday. This is the card that I made for her. This gorgeous paper is from Basic Grey's Offbeat paper pad. The inspiration for this card also came from the new issue of CardMaker.

We've got a winter storm warning tonight for freezing rain and sleet and cold temperatures. Thank goodness I don't have to report for jury duty tomorrow morning because who knows if I will be able to get off the hill in the morning. I may be taking a personal day at work for inclement weather because I don't even attempt to drive on ice.

Luck, love and laughter,

Judy

What fantastic cards! I love them both, but I'm really impressed with the second one! There is something about those patterned papers . . . just gorgeous!! Still with the jury duty? Oh my goodness . . . how drawn out in the process! Whew, the weather was HORRIBLE last night and today. It was warm yesterday, then it rained all night while the temps were dropping dramatically. It was then 9 this morning with CRAZY way below zero wind chills! Snow later this week. 'Tis the season! Take care!!

Beautiful! Sorry about the winter storms. We're having unseasonably warm weather here with threats that it's cold in Houston...ugh. I don't go to Houston for the cold!

Very nice cards, Judy. I absolutely love Basic Grey papers.... Stay warm now.... It has gotten down to all of 32 here in Phoenix and I am gripin' like it's 100 below zero.
