Card Sketch a Day and Sewing Projects

Susan has come up with another great sketch for the Friday Friends Challenge at Card Sketch a Day. Here is a card that I made this evening using the sketch.

I don't do circles that much so this sketch is a little out of the box for me. The paper came from a K & Company Brenda Walton Designer Paper Pad. I sponged distress ink on the paper to give an aged look. I have discovered that a foam wedge for applying makeup is a wonderful tool to use for sponging ink onto paper.

I seem to have developed a love affair with the Brenda Walton designer paper and giving paper an aged look with distress ink. Here are three cards that I made using yesterday's Card Sketch a Day sketch and the Brenda Walton paper.

I finished my sewing projects earlier in the week. I had an order from a co-worker to make baby gifts -- a tote bag to be used as a diaper bag, a blanket, and a Tea bear. The family is Chinese and she wanted both the baby's Chinese name and English name embroidered on the tote bag. I embroidered her Chinese name on the blanket and Tea bear.

I got an order for two more tote bags today so will start working on them next week.

We are off to Memphis tomorrow for a surprise birthday party tomorrow night for a cousin. And I have already let Hubby know that I want to check out Archivers on Sunday before we leave to come home.

Everyone have a great weekend.

Luck, love and laughter,

Judy
