I started scrapbooking in June of 2007 with My Sewing Journal as a way to record my sewing and machine embroidery creations....yes, I do consider them to be the creative part of me. Robin helped me get started and we found a reasonably priced 12 x 12 album at Tuesday Morning. The cover was not something that I wanted. So I went through my fabric statch and found a piece of ultra suede that I had been hanging onto for years and covered the album with my own design.
Here are a few pages from My Sewing Journal.
This is the fairy costume that I made for Addison for Halloween 2005. Robin picked out the pattern and material and I must admit that it was a challenge to make.
I found a freebie sewing machine design that I liked and embroideried it on the fabric along with "My Sewing Journal".

Sarabeth's Christmas 2005 dress. I used my favorite jumper pattern that I have used over and over for the girls. I used the sewing machine to stitch the ribbon and rickrack trim to paper and used a decorative stitch to adhere the photo.
Valentine Day 2007. I made both girls matching jumpers using pink courdory and pink and brown ribbon and appliqued hearts. I used the sewing machine to stitch the ribbon to the paper. I topped everything off with matching hairbow.
These outfits are perhaps my favorite of all that I have made for the girls. The jumpers were made of white chenille with a snowman face on the front. I appliqued an orange nose and sewed black buttons on for eyes and mouth. I made matching black and white hairbows for each girl.
Sarabeth is going to be playing soccer this Spring. I embroideried a soccer sweatshirt for her last night. At some point it will be added to My Sewing Journal but wanted to go ahead and share it with you as I am really pleased with the way it turned out.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend!
