Election Day

We had two weeks of early voting but I wasn't able to vote early...the hours the polls were open was not compatible with my work hours. There were record numbers of people voting early and I heard lots of stories about the long lines at the various early voting locations. I figured I would just take my chances going to the polls after work today.

The manager of our office told me to go vote and not clock out when I went. To do it on the bank's time. My office is a little over 2 miles northeast of my house and my polling location is a little over a mile west of my house. So I left the office at 1:12 this afternoon and drove to St James where I vote. I walked in -- found no lines -- voted and was back at work at 1:30. That's less than 20 minutes all total. I couldn't believe it. I'm glad I didn't try to go through the hassel of voting early.

Luck, love, and laughter,
Judy

The last time I was in the States for an election, there was no line at all in my area. I think they overblow it in the media.

No line for me but Bill said he had to wait about 40 minutes.

I had the very same experience! Dave and I went to vote early, but it was so disorganized! They told us that it would be a minimum of an hour and a half wait. No thank you! I went yesterday around 10:30, and I was in and out so quickly. Not bad!
