My brother-in-law has a birthday in just a few days and I have been agonizing over a design for a card for him -- I seem to have a very hard time with masculine cards. The light bulb went off this morning -- yesterday's sketch at Card Sketch a Day would be a perfect sketch to use for a simple, masculine looking card. I used textured cardstock in dark colors for the background and a light gray for the sentiment. The only embellishments were stamped (a big departure for me, I love using Primas and bling on my cards). The sentiment and inside verse were done on the computer. The end result is a very simple card but one that I think suits Earl to a "T".

That inside sentiment is GREAT! I struggle with masculine cards too, and I think this is fabulous!!
