ICSketches #3

This is my first time to make a card using a sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches. This card was created using Sketch #3.

I have decided that stamping and coloring are not really my cup of tea except for stamping sentiments. I do love combining colors and patterns in paper for my cards. I guess that goes back to my sewing background and working with fabrics. Consequently, I am finding that I am always on the hunt for paper pads with coordinating patterns and colors. Last week when on a swing through the scrapbooking section at Michaels, I found a small Provo Craft pad of exquisite handmade papers on sale very reasonably priced. I used paper from this pad to make this card. The sentiment was printed on my computer and I inked the edges using Tea Dye Distress Ink. I finished it off with Primas, small white brads, and white grosgrain ribbon. I love the almost monochromatic look of this card.
