After attempting to color with Copics and continually getting out of the lines, I tried using watercolor pencils with much better results. I used plain cardstock for the paper on each card and grosgrain ribbon.
Then I decided to work some more on my coloring skills so I made this card using Card Sketch a Day sketch #154 as the basis for the card design.
Aren't these mice just adorable? The stamp is a Stampabilities House Mouse design that I also colored using watercolor pencils. The sentiment is a $1.00 stamp from Michaels.
Luck, love and laughter,
Judy

Your granddaughters are going to LOVE the cupcake cards! Oh my goodness, they are so sweet! I have a tough time with coloring sometimes too. I now use just regular colored pencils, and I use some gamsol to soften the look. I'm by no means an expert, and I really admire people that make the coloring look so easy! It's truly a skill! Plus there are others that are amazing with the Copics! I have not purchased any Copics . . . yet!
I love the house mouse card too! The pink / lime green color combination is very sweet!!
Have a great week!
