This adorable pic of my great-nephew Jonah was taken while he was playing in his Mimi and Bawpaw's hot tub which they had filled with bubble bath. As you can see, he is up to his chin in bubbles.
I used paper from my stash...don't know who makes it or where I got it. I did a machine stitching outline. The lettering was cut on the Cricut and I outlined the letters with a blue Sharpie to make them stand out. I finished off the layout with Provincial Fare felt embellishments by Tinkering Ink. Overall, I am quite pleased with the way this turned out. Ronny and I have decided we are going to put it in a frame and give it to Mimi and Bawpaw (his sister Marilyn and her husband Earl).
My second layout is for Scrap City's July color combo challenge which is to use orange and turquoise. The pic is of my grandson Matt when he was taking part in a weight board competition on the Arkansas River two years ago.
The colors are not showing up as vivid as they really are. I did a zig zag machine stitching outline on the turquoise paper using neon orange embroidery thread, stamped on the flowers with orange ink, and used rick rack for the stems. The lettering was done on the Cricut. I will get it uploaded to Scrap City's site when Robin has time to walk me through the process. This is my first challenge to upload and I'm not sure how to do it.
It has gotten very cloudy and I hear thunder off in the distance. So we are probably in for some rain. It has been very humid and my very achey joints have been telling me that we've got a low pressure system around.
Luck, love and laughter,
Judy
